Re-creating the poem 'Where I'm From' was difficult to do a second time round. I decided to go for a more literal view rather than a mental view although still trying to incorporate both. This video is about embracing being lonely. Day to day life is so busy for me that when I have a day off to myself I tend to feel lonely and most stressed. The video runs through a usual day on my own getting up, having a shower and having breakfast with my partner. Watching him leave, making sure he has everything and then back to water which is what seems to relax me. Everything was filmed and recorded inside the house which is where I spend most of my time and do most of my work. The clock ticking representing time going by slowly and the noise in the background which is water is used to represent calmness although it is strangely irritating at the same time. The video then goes back to my partner doing work when he gets home - waiting to spend time with him. The last shot again back into the shower before bed, calming myself once again although this time the shots of the water flow better, making more sense and it not being as confusing.
This representation of where I am from is just where I am from. Me on my own and what my mind goes through. It helps me realise who I really am and what I enjoy doing. I like being constantly busy which was something I tried to get across in this video.
